Gavita Master EL2 control unit
By controlling e-series luminaires with the Gavita Master control unit, you can easily achieve full control over your lighting with maximum safety and ease of installation and use. All you have to do is connect the control unit to the luminaires using the enclosed T-connectors (see diagram), set the control switch on the luminaires to EXT (external control), connect the control unit and the individual luminaires to the mains and the installation is complete. All your e-series luminaires can be controlled by a single control unit and can even be divided into two groups with separate temperature sensors and separate timer, automatic control and emergency stop functions when high temperature is detected.
The control unit can switch individual luminaires according to the built-in clock, set and indicate their light output (in percent or absolute output in Watts) and even simulate sunrise and sunset to gradually adapt to the climate in the growing area. This control unit replaces expensive timers and contactors and further eliminates current surges when the luminaires are switched on.
The most important advantages of this control unit are the functions of automatic reduction of output power and emergency shutdown. An increase in temperature above a certain limit can permanently damage your plants. If the temperature sensor detects a temperature rise above the set value, the control unit automatically dims the luminaire's power to prevent further temperature rise. The display and warning LEDs indicate that this condition has occurred and also indicate if this occurred earlier during your absence. If for any reason the previous measure fails and the temperature rises to unacceptable values despite automatic control, the system will perform an emergency shutdown of all connected equipment. The Alarm output terminals can be connected to your alarm system to alert you immediately to a detected problem. Another feature is the ability to connect two ECMs: one that switches the device along with the light (eg, humidifier, CO2 source, or ventilation), and the other that switches on when the light is turned off (eg, growing space).
