The SolarSystem 1100 UVB of California Lightworks is a professional and powerful LED grow light which is designed for commercial indoor horticulture. The SolarSystem 1100 combined with the UVB light can provide you with an even higher yield. For the best possible quality, chain the two UVB's together in the last two to three weeks of the flowering phase and connect them to a timer to elevate the chemical profile of certain plants.

 The power and spectrum of the SolarSystem 1100 can be adjusted if you connect the SolarSystem controller. The controller allows you to manually or automatically control the light’s spectrum and power, it eliminates the need for an external timer.

With this purchase you'll receive one SolarSystem 1100, with two SolarSystem UVB's and mounting brackets included. For people who used to grow with the SolarStorm 880, this is a perfect, more powerful replacement.

You can use the system as a single unit in a tent or with multiple units chained together in a larger application. The SolarSystem 1100 uses 800watt on full power and can easily be compared to a 1000 watt – 1200 watt HPS light. The waterproof system is developed and produced in California and features OSRAM LED diodes, which are the most powerful LEDs available. The SolarSystem UVB only uses 25 Watt per module.

For the best yield, chain the UVB's together in the last two weeks of the flowering phase and use them for about 3-4 hours per day to elevate the chemical profile of certain plants.

UVB light is harmful for your eyes, therefore we recommend you to wear the Method Seven glasses to protect your eyes. Besides protection, the glasses filters the light to normal daylight colours which allows you to see the normal green colour of the plant. Also be very careful not to expose your skin to UVB light.

Benefits

Plants sense UV light which damages the DNA, therefore plants start to repair the DNA by creating enzymes. The plant creates an extra layer to protect itself which can be compared to the use of sunscreen.

Studies show that 385 nm UV light promotes the accumulation of phenolic compounds, enhances antioxidant activity of plant extracts, but does not have any significant effect on growth processes. UVB has also been demonstrated to elevate the chemical profile of certain plants.

Please be aware that the UVB grow light can damage skin and eyes. Therefore it is very important you turn of the light before entering the grow room. Use this light only in dry locations, otherwise you risk an electrical shock. Do not use this light on a dimmer circuit and only use the SolarSystem T5 UVA bulb. Always use a Method Seven glasses to protect your eyes.
